In this episode, I’m joined by my two wonderful friends as guests to talk about what it’s like to have a multicultural background—growing up speaking multiple languages and living in different countries.
It was also my first time recording in a professional podcast studio, and to celebrate my friend Astrid’s first visit to South Korea, I thought it would be a memorable experience for her to record a podcast here with us.
It was a very special moment for all three of us to openly share our thoughts and experiences of growing up with diverse, multicultural backgrounds.
Thank you so much for listening, and I hope you’ll come back next week too! :D

As a person who was born in 1998, in South Korea, it's a huge lie if you've never been a fan of K-pop. And as person who experieced 2010s K-pop (aka the Golden era of K-pop lol) when they were middle to high school student, it's really hard to NOT compare the "good old days" of K-pop and the current 3-4th generation of K-pop.
In this episode, I spoke very honestly about that comparison and my very honest thoughts about "how did we get here?"

Thank you for listening!

Simply put, I quit my job today. And it feels really weird. Not only because of dealing and processing about what had happenend in that job, I was facing with life-changing choice that I had chose few days ago and ngl I was pretty much overwhelmed and scared about the next chapter. In just one day, I had to process all that complex, unique feelings that I had never experienced.
Today's episode is very rougly made and recorded, but I wanted to uploade it anyway because I wanted to document this raw, naked feeeling and voice which I'm going to listen agian when I'm going to face another massive change in my life.
Agiain, thanks for listening to today's episode, I really appreciate it!

Today's episode about my personal growth regarding 'confidence'
Which was a long journey for me to be actually confident OR to PRETEND to be confident. And as a person who always struggled to be confident about myself, I think what I learned from going through a job interview in a language that is not my native langauge gave me a bit of a courage and clarity that I've came this far, and "shouldn't I be more confident about what I've done so far?"
So I quickly thought about making this episode not only to document my special moment in my life and also my emotion as a consequence, I wanted to dedicate this episode to a people who felt similarly to what I've felt about the concept of 'being confident' and show a very mundane individual going through a realisation to gradully knowing the method to be actually confident to what you do.
Again, Thank you so much for listening to this little podcast, I really appreciate it. And I hope you guys will gradully learn how to be genuinely confident about youself.

Lots of love, Hyeonsu.

Recently, I came across to this news saying that Korean women are among the most well-traveled women in the world. And honestly, I'm not surprised!
And as Korean, I could definitely can see why this was happening (although personally I can't fully believe this news). I think it's because there's a social / peer pressure that domestic tour is waste of time and money compare to what you can "learn" and "earn" from traveling abroad. And apparently, they say it's "waste of youth" if you're not traveling Europe? But I just wanted to ask again, like does traveling actually expand our world, or do we just move our bodies while our minds stay the same? And emphasizing that physical travel is not the only way to explore the world. What's really important, is not the distance, it's the depht of how present you are within yourself. Are you 100% standing firmly on the ground with your own feet? Are you fully communicating with yourself? Do you KNOW who you are before rushing to explore the world, maybe somewhere that has absolutely nothing to do with your life and your future?

The people who left my life,
and the people I have yet to meet—
where do passing connections
and lingering longing go?
My small wisdom cannot know.
The only thing I know
is how to keep living.

- yong pil Cho, <Song of the wind>

1. not every relationship ends because someone did something wrong
2. sometimes time itself changes the relationship
3. people grow in different directions

Love you!

I guess at the end, what we really wanted is to be loved and to be understood by someone who matters.
